Applied for LossFunk residency with a past project. Traveled to Delhi for family wedding, reconnected with Ankur and Pascal after 15+ years. Cricket weekend: tough quarter-final loss in GPL, but great to have family cheering from the stands
Explorations
I spent some time trying to tweak and deploy one of the explorations I worked on last month. I’ve been consciously skipping the last mile on most of the explorations to let my brain absorb the downtime I have scheduled for myself but finally wrapped one up to apply for LossFunk.
Family & Friends
Visited Delhi after many years for Mona’s cousin’s wedding. The wedding and the haldi ceremony was in fact in Ghaziabad (UP) which meant quite a bit of travel and overnight stay near the venue. Most of Delhi except for the central ceremonial axis generally feels a bit more dusty and messy. Delhi Metro definitely is a stand-out when it comes to urban transport connectivity in India. Feb 5 also happened to be an election day, so I could also sneak in a small get together for my Mom’s side of the family (mom’s sisters, my cousin brother and his wife).
On Thursday, I happened to re-connect with a few old-time (15+ years) folks - Ankur and Pascal. We lost touch post the initial startup years; but it felt great to just re-connect; we hit it off almost instantly.
Workout
Managed to clock closer to 10k steps this week. I skipped swimming and few resistance training sessions to be 100% for the matches. Saturday and Sunday we had the Greenage Premier League 2025. Our team lost in the quarter-finals in a very close match. Personally, I didn’t do well with the bat in the couple of opportunities that I had especially at the tail end of the batting order. Ibhan and Mona were cheering from the stands and the excitement of the games left everyone wanting for more. It will probably take me a few days to get over the loss and miserable individual performance.
