A stressful week as Mona’s dad was hospitalized in Lucknow - moving between hospitals, critical care, and relief as he started recovering.

Last week was extremely stressful as Mona’s dad was hospitalized. What felt more like a viral infection and weakness during stay in remote village of Kanpur; in the next 20 hours escalated to moving between 3 hospitals - one in the outskirts of Kanpur, then to a city hospital in Kanpur and then finally moving him to Lucknow. Doctors were suspecting a stroke, hemorrhage or internal bleeding so me and Mona also rushed to Lucknow. Next few days were very stressful and difficult as his condition was delicate and he also was put on the ventilator for close to 36 hours. Doctors eliminated the earlier hypothesis through a series of CT scans and MRIs and we were left with knowing that it’s probably an infection that affected the brain. Once uncle started responding to the anti-biotics the recovery was fast and I got back to Bengaluru once he was out of the ICU. Mona will stay back for a week.
